Murray, KY – Tennessee is preparing to cut $300-million in TennCare spending by limiting doctor and hospital visits. In a public notice TennCare proposes to reduce state spending by $103-million mostly with a cap of eight doctor and hospital visits for poor patients in the extended Medicaid program with an exemption for children and pregnant women. Officials stress that any cuts would have to be approved by Governor Bill Haslam and the Legislature.
