Paducah, KY – Western Kentucky won't get heavy winter weather from a system that's moving through tonight and tomorrow. But National Weather Service forecasters predict heavy rainfall for most of the region with high wind gusts in some areas. Forecaster Kelly Hooper says one to two inches of rain are likely. Hooper says some areas could see isolated severe thunderstorms.
"There will be some mostly south of Kentucky into the Tennessee region, but we could see a few sneak up into the Kentucky area."
Hooper says rain storms will likely hit between noon and midnight tomorrow. He says snow is possible after midnight as temperatures cool, but accumulation will be minimal. Hooper also expects some areas of northwest Kentucky around Owensboro may experience freezing rain tonight, into tomorrow morning.
