Clarksville, TN – The mayors of Clarksville and Montgomery County gave state addresses at a Clarksville Area Chamber of Commerce breakfast Tuesday. County Mayor Carolyn Bowers stressed the need to raise property taxes to fund building two new schools and renovate a third on top of maintaining normal expenses. The Clarksville Leaf Chronicle reports in her first such address, City Mayor Kim McMillan spoke on the importance of city-county cooperation. McMillan pledged her administration will be open and will work closely with County government and other officials.
