Frankfort, KY – Kentucky Senate President David Williams is proposing shortening this year's legislative session by six days. Williams says the move would save Kentucky taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars that otherwise would be used to compensate lawmakers. Williams sent a letter to House Speaker Greg Stumbo Tuesday to offer his proposal to end the legislation on March 16, rather than the scheduled March 22. Williams says he believes lawmakers would have plenty of time to get their work done even if the session is shortened. Stumbo hasn't yet responded to the proposal.
