Frankfort, KY – State grants are available in Kentucky for local projects to help manage recyclables or household hazardous waste, or for related public education programs. The Energy and Environment Cabinet's Division of Waste Management has set an application deadline of March 15. Local governments, solid waste management districts, public schools, universities and colleges are eligible to apply. Each grant requires a 25 percent local match, and priority is given to applicants for regional projects. The grants are funded through the Kentucky Pride Fund.
