Frankfort, KY – The Senate Judiciary Committee is scheduled to consider legislation today that would require prescriptions for certain cold medicines. Kentucky US Representative Hal Rogers, who chairs the House Appropriations Committee in Washington, is expected to be among those testifying in favor of the bill. Proponents have also planned an afternoon rally in the Capitol to show support for the measure. The Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is among the groups that have come out against Senate Bill 45.
