Paducah, KY – A Michigan-based steel company plans to create 13 jobs in McCracken County this year. The County Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously yesterday to rezone about 20 acres of property on Poole Road from urban residential to heavy industrial. The rezoning will become official following a public hearing. Greater Paducah Economic Development Council CEO Chad Chancellor tells the Paducah Sun Shoreline Steel proposes to build a manufacturing facility that will host 13 jobs averaging $12 an hour plus benefits. McCracken's Fiscal Court has scheduled a first reading of the proposal on February 28th.
