Frankfort, KY – Senator Ken Winters has gotten legislation pushed through the Senate that would allow some high school students to graduate early so that they can enter college. The Republican from Murray says only students with high ACT scores and a 3.2 grade point average would be eligible. About $2,500 in state funding that would have gone to their school district would instead go to the college where they enroll for tuition. The measure passed 35-1.
