Murray, KY – The Breathitt-Pennyrile Parkway Extension at Hopkinsville may open next week. Transportation officials are finishing work, and plan to open the new section of highway March 1. Completion of the extension project south of Hopkinsville will provide a new 6 mile section of four lanes from Pennyrile Parkway Exit 7 in Hopkinsville to I-24. The new highway will help relieve traffic congestion through a direct connection to I-24.
