Judge Delays Workman Trial for Second Time

By Angela Hatton

Murray, KY – A judge has delayed the trial of two people accused of killing a Murray man over a year ago. Kayla and Jayson Workman were set to go to trial today, but judge Dennis Foust pushed back their court date to June 7. This is the second time the jury trial has been rescheduled. The Workmans are charged with the 2009 killing 24-year-old Herbert Donald Scandell. Police arrested the couple when their vehicle crashed. Scandell's body was found in the back seat. Jayson Workman faces murder charges, and Kayla Workman faces complicity to murder.
