Paducah, KY – National Weather Service forecasters in Paducah say severe storms will move through southwestern Kentucky and northwestern Tennessee tonight. Forecaster Chris Noth says the system will likely hit between six o'clock and midnight.
"From New Madrid, Missouri, up through the lakes area, and into around the Pennyrile region, say from Greenville and Hopkinsville, over to Elkton, that's the area I'm concerned with."
Noth says the storm will bring chances of hail and isolated tornadoes. He says damaging winds of around 60 miles per hour are also expected. A flash flood watch remains in effect for most of the region, with flash flood warnings in Obion, Lake, Henry and Weakley counties. Noth says flooding will be most likely in urban areas and small streams.
