Paducah, KY – Regions Bank has sued Dippin' Dots, saying the western Kentucky-based ice cream company of defaulting on a nearly $11 million loan. The bank initially filed the suit in January in McCracken County Circuit Court, but motions were filed last week to speed up the case, which is scheduled for court in April. Dippin' Dots Director of Administration Steve Heisner says the company denies the allegations in the suit, but is looking for revenue from other sources to resolve the case. Dippin' Dots, which sells beads of ice cream, markets itself to stores, as well as a number of amusement parks across the country, theaters and malls.
