Murray, KY – Results from a new study indicate the city of Murray may be able to support an eleven thousand square foot conference center and up to 646 additional hotel rooms. Murray's Convention and Visitors Bureau commissioned the Buxton Group study to gauge the possibility of expanding Murray's conference offerings. The study's findings compare multiple cities similar to Murray. The cities listed in the study were broken down by the amount of available space for conferences. Murray placed fifth on that list. CVB Executive Director Erin Carrico says the results do not translate into any current building plans. She says the study findings will help out while planning the city's tourism future.
