Frankfort, KY – The Kentucky House has approved a bill allowing businesses to file government paperwork, apply for licenses and pay taxes electronically on a single Web site. The measure cleared the House 99-to-zero Thursday and now goes to the Senate for final approval. Republican Senator David Givens says the legislation would cut down on paperwork. Secretary of State Elaine Walker says it would lead to the creation of a one-stop electronic portal giving businesses a direct link to all the state agencies they have to deal with. Walker says the proposal makes it easier for businesses to open or expand in Kentucky.
