Murray, KY – A school lunch meat provider is taking its argument against the Hopkins County school district to U.S. District Court. Land O' Frost and the Van Eekeren Family LLC filed suit in Owensboro against the Hopkins County Board of Education and many County offices. The Madisonville Messenger reports Land O' Frost claims it has incurred damages of more than $75,000 due to an overpayment made to the schools in 2008. The school board did not credit the company for any overpayment, nor did the sheriff's office or the county clerk.
