Mayfield, Ky. – The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has issued $91,007 in grants to the Mayfield Fire Department. According to a statement from Congressman Ed Whitfield's office, the funds will go to operations and safety expenses. The money comes as part of the Assistance to Firefighters Grants program, geared toward emergency management service organizations not affiliated with hospitals.
