Murray, KY – Murray City Council members appointed Matt Mattingly as City Administrator last night. The position allows Mattingly to perform certain mayoral duties in the absence of the mayor. Mattingly previously served as City Director of Administration, some members of the council voted to dissolve that position. The Murray Ledger and Times reports Mayor Bills Wells appointed him to the new position after it was left vacant since former administrator Don Elias retired. He has since been elected to Murray's city council.
