Hopkinsville, Ky. – Prospective Hopkinsville Community College students can jointly enroll in either Western Kentucky University or Austin Peay State University. HCC and WKU made the partnership official Monday. Murray State continuing education and academic outreach dean Brian Vanhorn says while MSU doesn't have an official signed admission agreement with HCC, the two institutions have practiced this policy in certain programs for over a decade. Elementary Education, he says, is one example.
"Once they complete their degree there at the community college, whether it's an AA, AS, or in a few cases even an AAS, then it completely articulates over into a degree option here at the university."
Dr. Vanhorn says Murray State is in process of creating a joint admissions agreement with the Kentucky Community and Technical College system, though it hasn't yet been signed.
