Nashville, TN – Hundreds of people are expected at a midday rally in Nashville today for worker's rights and better living wages at the Tennessee Capitol. The rally is a response to Governor Bill Haslam's Monday night State of the State address. A coalition of nearly two dozen faith, community and labor organizations is scheduled to converge on the Capitol at noon demanding good jobs and better wages for Tennesseans. They will also call on state lawmakers to support government workers.
