Frankfort, Ky. – U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell has filed an amendment to a pending small business bill that would stop the Environmental Protection Agency from imposing new regulations on carbon emissions. The Kentucky Senator filed the amendment Tuesday. He says regulations would lead to higher gas prices for gas, groceries, and electricity. He also says regulations would destroy jobs, especially in coal states like Kentucky. His amendment is identical to a bill sponsored by Representative Ed Whitfield yesterday in the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
