Paducah, KY – Convicted Heath High School shooter Michael Carneal yesterday testified in court a series of delusions and hallucinations commanded him to commit the 1997 attack which killed three classmates and wounded five others. Carneal's testimony comes on the third day of hearings about his mental state when the attack took place. A clinical psychologist testified in court earlier this week that Carneal, who was fourteen at the time, was likely incompetent when he pleaded guilty to the murder charges. Carneal's defense claims his mental illness rendered him not responsible for the shooting.
