Metropolis, IL – Ohio River flooding concerns have prompted Metropolis Harrah's casino and hotel officials to close the establishment indefinitely. The casino says in a statement on its web site the move ensures the safety of its operations, guests and workers. The casino is docked along the Ohio River, which has been swollen for days now and levels are not expected to lower until sometime next week.
