Frankfort, KY – Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear says he plans to reimburse the Commonwealth after using a state plane to attend a political event last week. The announcement comes after a Republican opponent complained. Senate President David Williams, who is running in the GOP Gubernatorial primary, called the tour an election year ploy. Beshear says his two-day tour to nine cities was to gain public support for his Medicaid plan and was not related to the Governor's race.
