Paducah, KY – Kentucky US Senator Rand Paul is making mentions he's keeping his options open for a 2012 presidential bid using his Tea Party backing. The junior Republican senator tells the Paducah Sun editorial board he's touring early primary states to ensure the Tea Party message of lower taxes, less government intervention and decreased spending has a presence among voters. Paul says a run at the presidency next year would be contingent on whether his father, Texas Republican Senator Ron Paul, decides to run again.
