Tennessee – Tennessee officials hope to save $5.7 million with a new sentence credit program for prisoners beginning in April. Certain offenders within 24 months of their release date can earn 60-day sentence credits by taking a twelve-week course on victim impact, job training and conflict management. Eligible prisoners include low-risk, mostly non-violent offenders.
