LaCenter, KY – A line of severe thunderstorm continues to move east through Kentucky and North West Tennessee this afternoon. This morning, far western Kentucky reported little damage with the exception of Ballard County. Officials there report extensive damage to farm buildings. Meteorologist Beau Dodson reports a possible tornado touched down there. Dodson says the storm leveled a two-story house south of LaCenter, trapping a man inside. Rescue crews extracted him safely. Highway crews are working to move several downed trees on roadways in the county. Transportation spokesman Keith Todd says the worst damage is along KY 1290 near Slater. Western McCracken County also reported damage, including a porch ripped off and a carport destroyed. Crews are working to restore power to more than 900 residents in Ballard. More than 2,000 power outages were reported in Marshall County. Most are back on. Rain is expected to move out of the region by three this afternoon.
