Murray, KY – Southern Illinois meteorologist Beau Dodson says residents throughout the Four Rivers region can expect severe weather today as potentially strong storms move in from the west. Our area is already under a wind advisory until 7 tonight, with gusts as high as 40 or 50 miles an hour. We are also under a tornado watch until 3 this afternoon. Dodson says the threat of severe storms over our area should end by this afternoon as the cold front pushing the system moves east. Dodson says if the storms become severe they could produce large hail or isolated tornadoes. Stay with WKMS throughout the day as we keep you updated on this developing weather situation.
