Clinton, KY – Following a WKMS Open Records request, the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services has released some of the recent citations against Arbor Place nursing home in Clinton. State inspectors recently found Arbor Place out of compliance with Medicare requirements, which could affect the facility's residents who depend on Medicare and Medicaid funding. Citations this year include failure to maintain oral hygiene, which led to possibly life-threatening gum disease in one resident. The facility also mismanaged medication for a resident, which led to physical injury. It's not clear whether the nursing home will be fined for the violations. In 2010, Arbor Place was also cited for allowing a resident to escape twice and travel a quarter mile from the facility. Arbor Place currently houses 85 residents.
