Paducah, KY – Paducah may have an upgraded community center in the works after city commissioners yesterday introduced an ordinance to purchase the Margaret Hank Life Center on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive for $250,000.
The 19-year-old building houses a gymnasium, meeting rooms, a kitchen, and a stage. Renovating and upgrading equipment is estimated to cost around an additional $50,000. Paducah officials hail the deal which will allow the city to opt out of its lease with Jetton Gym on Walter Jetton Boulevard. Commissioners will vote on the measure April 26.
