Tuition Hikes Loom

By Jacque Day

Kentucky – Next week, Kentucky's Council on Postsecondary Education will set a maximum limit on how much universities and community colleges can raise tuition for the next school year. Spokesperson Sue Patrick says while recommendations have not officially been announced, the Council has discussed limiting tuition hikes for regional universities like Murray State to five percent. A four percent limit is proposed for community colleges. The CPE meets April 28. They expect to release the meeting agenda by the middle of this week.
