Metropolis, IL – The United Steelworkers Union in Metropolis and Honeywell Corporation have reached a tentative agreement on seniority-related issues. Honeywell spokesman Peter Dalpe says the agreement provides greater protection for senior employees in the event of layoffs. The two sides will continue to discuss issues in the contract tomorrow. Honeywell and workers at the Metropolis nuclear fuel plant have been without a contract since last June.
