Union City, TN – Officials in Union City, Tennessee say traffic cameras have caused complaints from motorists accused of speeding. Some of the confusion is because the speed limit is 35 mph entering Union City on Reelfoot Avenue but 45 mph on the other side. City manager Kathy Dillon told the city council this week the Tennessee Department of Transportation has studied the site and recommended the limit be increased to 45 mph. The council accepted the recommendation.
