Fort Campbell, KY – A Fort Campbell soldier has been killed by small arms fire in Afghanistan. The Department of Defense says 25-year-old Sergeant John P. Castro, of Andrews, Texas died April 22nd in Paktika province. Army officials say he suffered wounds when his unit was attacked by small arms fire. He was assigned to1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division.
