Frankfort, KY – More than 80 Kentucky National Guard troops have been deployed to flood-threatened areas of the state. Adjutant Major General Edward Tonini says 27 soldiers are working to build sandbag levees in Smithland, while 24 are sandbagging areas in Ballard County. Thirty-one others were dispatched to the Henderson-Daviess County border to help place sandbags there.
