Clarksville, TN – Clarksville and Montgomery County, Tennessee officials say flooding on the Cumberland and Red River likely won't endanger many homes and businesses. Emergency Director Steve Jones says the projected crest levels are down significantly. The Cumberland River will likely crest today below 50 feet, down from 55 feet. The Red River will crest nearly 11 feet lower than it did during last year's flood. Emergency officials are still filling and distributing sandbags. Volunteers handed out 6,000 last night, and have another 2,000 on hand.
