Clinton, KY – Highway US 51 in Hickman County is still open, despite concerns over high waters. Transportation spokesman Keith Todd says the water has reached the edges of the road, and seems to be receding. Hickman County Judge Executive Greg Pruitt says if US 51 closes from flooding, it will greatly impact north/south traffic. Pruitt says the school system has planned for alternate routes in case of flooding. He urges commuters to call the Department of Transportation for the latest reports before traveling.
