Paducah, KY – Emergency officials in McCracken County have evacuated around 44 homes on the northwest side of the county. Deputy Judge Executive Doug Harnice says self-evacuations may be closer to 200. Harnice says 53 county roads are closed. Water is beginning to seep into the Julian Carroll Convention Center, despite efforts to prevent it. Paducah workers have installed 45 of the city's 47 floodgates. City spokesperson Pam Spencer says they decided to not install the last two because the crest prediction is lower now than before.
