Springfield, IL – Illinois Governor Pat Quinn's plan to reform state workers compensation system now includes a requirement that workers wouldn't get benefits for injuries not incurred on the job. This requirement is a major reform sought by Republicans and business interests. Illinois Retail Merchants Association President David Vite says while Quinn's proposal doesn't go as far as they'd like, business leaders are willing to sit down and work with the governor. Quinn says he wants a reform bill enacted before the legislature's adjournment at the end of the month.
