Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville City Council has passed two of three proposed ordinances concerning household pets. Sale of animals in commercial parking lots, at flea markets, or on the roadside will be restricted. Tennessee's breeding laws are also going to be updated to include smaller litters. City of Clarksville Communication Director Mark Hicks says that the mayor voted "no" as a tiebreaker on an ordinance limiting the number of dogs and cats households could have. The ordinances will go back to the city council on June 2nd for a second reading and be voted on again before becoming part of the city code.
