Smithland, KY – Federal Emergency Management Agency representatives have begun surveying damage in Livingston County. Agents will have to wait for the Ohio River to recede before assessing damage to individuals' homes. She says for an individual to claim FEMA assistance, the agency usually requires their home to be at least nearly unlivable.
