Murray, KY – Local and regional officials, along with Governor Steve Beshear, visited Pella Corporation in Murray today. The company announced the creation of 75 new jobs. Pella is a national manufacturing company that makes windows and doors. Local plant manager Doug Dieleman says natural disasters around the nation are among the reasons for the expansion.
"As a result of storm damage, some Americans will remodel, or completely replace their homes this year. And across the country, we're seeing other Americans update their homes to more energy-efficient windows and doors."
Governor Beshear credited a state incentives program and regional economic development organizations for fostering job creation. Pella employs more than 600 people in Calloway and the surrounding counties.
