Frankfort, KY – Senate President David Williams says nobody's victory margin is ever large enough.' But last night's victory margin was enough to make him the Republican Party's nominee for governor. Williams beat second place Tea Party favorite Phil Moffett by ten percentage points. Williams says Kentuckians aren't looking for a best friend, but someone to lead them to the next level.'
"I've never expressed the fact that I am a model of perfection, but I am the candidate of the Republican Party who can lead this state to where she needs to go and no one in this campaign has doubted my qualification and nobody has doubted my resolve."
Williams says his two primary opponents, Bobbi Holsclaw and Phil Moffett have offered their support in his race against incumbent Governor Steve Beshear in the fall.
