Paducah, KY – Paducah officials are moving closer to initiate parts of a proposal to revitalize and market Paducah's downtown, Lower Town and riverfront areas. The Paducah Riverfront Development Authority held a public meeting earlier this week with consultants who want to re-brand the city and how it attracts tourists there. Part of the proposal includes building two new hotels on the former site of the Executive Inn. The Paducah Sun reports another recommendation involves streetscape and art projects that would lead tourists downtown and to Lower Town. Revamping Second to Sixth streets and from Madison Street would fuse together the Lower Town, downtown and the riverfront areas at a projected $2 million price tag.
