Murray, KY – Western Kentucky and Tennessee could see severe storms and tornadoes tomorrow. The National Weather Service has put the region under a Moderate Risk. Forecaster Jim Packett says high winds and rain can be expected tonight, but storms become more severe tomorrow and tomorrow night.
"It looks like it'll be an afternoon/ evening thing for the discrete-type weather. From late evening and through the overnight hours and even lingering into Thursday morning, maybe even as late as midday before it gets completely out of our area. But right now it's going to be a very busy evening and overnight tomorrow night."
Packett says it's possible the region could be upgraded to a High Risk area late tonight when preliminary storms move in from the east. Residents should limit travel, watch for warnings, and make sure weather safety plans are in place. WKMS will issue updates as available.
