Mayfield, KY – Mayfield police have a man in custody on sexual assault and burglary charges. Police say a mother and daughter accuse Sigmund Simmons of breaking and entering into their South Eighth Street apartment and raping them in an attack that lasted hours. Simmons then allegedly took a computer as he left. The Paducah Sun reports Simmons is charged with two counts of rape, sodomy, burglary and use of a minor in a sexual performance.
