Roads Memorial Day Weekend

By Rose Krzton-Presson

Kentucky & Tennessee – All construction-related lane closures on interstates and state routes in Kentucky and Tennessee are on suspension until Tuesday morning to allow for expected Memorial Day traffic. The Tennessee Department of Transportation will keep long term construction projects open; and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says there will still be one westbound lane restriction on I-24 near the Marshall-McCracken County line. Triple-A estimates that 30-point-8 million Americans will take trips this Memorial Day holiday. Police forces plan to step up highway patrols to watch for dangerous driving during the holiday.
