Paducah, KY – A Reidland man is sentenced to two years in jail for placing his infant son in a cold oven last year. McCracken Circuit Judge Tim Kaltenbach denied 34-year-old Chris Long probation and sentenced him based on an Alford Plea he entered early last month to charges of wanton endangerment. That means Long doesn't admit to the crime, but acknowledges there is likely enough evidence to convict him. The Paducah Sun reports Long is alleged to have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol when the incident occurred.
