Obion, Lake Counties, Tenn. – West Tennessee residents who need mental health assistance due to severe storms and flooding could get some extra help through extended grant funding. The Tennessee Department of Mental Health received an extension on funds allocated last year to help individuals affected by inclement weather dating back to spring 2010. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration grant continues allocating funds from a $2.1 million pool. The money goes to several area community mental health centers. Service areas include Lake and Obion counties. The grant extends through August.
