Union City, TN – The US Geological Survey detected an earthquake yesterday in Ridgely, Tennessee, about 30 miles southwest of Union City. The quake measured a 2.2 on the Richter scale, triggering around 4:30 yesterday afternoon along the New Madrid fault line. An earthquake usually measures at 3 on the Richter scale before it can be felt.
