Hopkinsville, KY – The Christian County Chamber of Commerce plans to open a satellite office in Oak Grove this September. Chamber President Carter Hendricks says construction will finish on the new office in July or August. Officials plan to hire one-part time staff member to work at the site. Hendricks says the move will foster economic growth in the southeastern part of the county. About 65 Chamber member businesses are located near the city. Oak Grove is situated near Fort Campbell military base, and has seen population growth of 5.6 percent in the past decade.
